1. Cavells, Mill Street, Oakham, Rutland.
The Brief:
Our three year relationship with Cavells continues and we are now undertaking the Painting & Decorating contract for the development of their Menswear arm of the business - we have recently completed the Womenswear premises.
Top Spec wallpapers and furnishings are being used, with a variety of Dulux Paint finishes.
We are using specialised handprinted wallpapers for the changing rooms. They are being hung by our on-site specialist Andy Denny.
We are also fitting 12" plaster Corniche around all four ceilings.
2. Waltham Village Hall
The Brief:
Waltham's large Village Hall had received Lottery Funding to completely redecorate the entire internal area of the building, comprising the large main hall, kitchen, bar area, entrance lobby, storage rooms and three toilets. C.F. Painting Decorating were chosen, based on their reputation for reliability and quality.
The Job:
The biggest challenge was the strict deadline for the opening night. It was absolutely crucial to ensure that all work was completed on time - whilst maintaining our strict quality standards.
A variety of techniques were employed during the redecoration. All smaller rooms were painted by way of a roller, whereas the Main Hall was sprayed. All wooden surfaces had three coats of paint applied.
The paints used were Dulux Trade Diamond Matt Emulsion and Cuprinol Woodstain.
The Result: The entire project was completed in good time. We achieved our goal by employing a large team of skilled tradesmen and being very organised at all levels of the job.
Customer comments:
"Great organisation and attention to detail ensured this job was completed on time!"
3. Mrs Edwards (Home redecoration)
The Brief:
We were asked to redecorate the living room of Mrs Edward's home. This included fitting a 6" Ornate Coving, preparing the ceiling and painting all walls with Dulux Trade Emulsion. All woodwork was to receive 2 coats of White Eggshell.
The Job:
On day one the Coving was fitted and all of the preparation was taken care of. During the the following days, the ceiling and all of the walls were painted.
The woodwork was completed over the last day, ensuring there was enough time for the paint to dry between coats.
The Result:
The fitting of Ornate Coving can be a challenge - especially if the walls and ceiling are a little out of line as they were in this case. Luckily, we have some extremely skilled people in this field who had no problem ensuring the coving was perfectly installed. The room was redecorated and ready within 4 days.
Customer comments:
" I am really pleased with work carried out - it looks excellent. We have already booked a further date for more work to take place."
4. External Redecoration
The Brief:
A large property required redecoration of all fascia boards, doors and a large amount of masonry. The Job:
This is a good example of a complete external "makeover" of a home, where a number of different surfaces required painting. We applied Cuprinol Woodstain to all Fascia Boards. Dulux Trade, Primer, Undercoat and Gloss on all doors. Dulux Trade Weathershield Masonry Paint to render.
The Result:
This job was carried out during a period of intermittent rain showers. To ensure the job was completed in good time for the customer, we used the NEW Dulux Trade All Season Masonry Paint which dries in a matter of minutes. This paint has the added benefit of giving the render several additional years of protection!
Customer comments:
"Another excellent job from CF Painting & Decorating!
